Recognized as a leader in the e-mobility and zero-emission vehicle spaces with over a decade of experience directing teams, campaigns, and coalitions. My work over the last 10-years has been at the intersection of clean transportation technology and systems, health equity and healthy outcomes, and workforce development.
Major mobility and transportation accomplishments I have been a part of during these years include helping develop the policy for the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act and making sure it was passed and signed, successfully passing over $5 billion in new annual transportation funding for state and local transportation work through the California legislature and protecting those allocations from voter repeal efforts, and accelerating construction work on California’s high-speed rail project. Other accomplishments include leading campaign efforts to expand access to medical care to undocumented immigrants in California and working on policy efforts to ensure workforce development and economic security programs reach disadvantaged communities.
As CALSTART’s State Policy Director, I leverage my relationships and network in mobility, workforce, and energy to advise elected officials and regulatory bodies on spending plans, budget allocations, and legislative public policy efforts.
Prior to my work in transportation and mobility, I spent five-years as a TV news reporter in several Northern California markets before attending UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and receiving a Master of Public Policy degree.
